Do I need a wedding Film?

Put aside the old notion of wedding video being a boring, cheesy and a 2, 3, or even 4 hour watch! Modern wedding videography has evolved into a must-have for today’s brides and grooms. I want to create a unique video of your wedding day that will be cherished not only by you but for future generations of your family.

What’s your style of filming on the wedding day?

Discreet, relaxed, unposed and professional. You probably won’t really notice me there at all. I want to capture moments as they naturally unfold so it’s ideal to go about your day as if I’m not even there!

How long do you stay?

I don’t believe in missing out on the main features of the day so I like to start early and finish late! Typically I will get to the bridal preparations about 2-3 hours before the wedding ceremony and then stay right through until the first few dances. A typical wedding is 12 hours from usually 10am-10pm. If you need later coverage just let me know and we can customise a quote for you.

How long will the film creation process take and when will I see my wedding video?

It’s good to know a rough timeline for the creative edit process.  Actual editing time will be in the range of 40 hours and it is a time consuming process but to obtain the best results I always put the time needed into it. Typically I endeavor to have your wedding film, trailer, and documentary films created within 4-8 weeks.

Who will film my day?

Jason McGarrigle is the main videographer and will be the primary shooter on your day. In cases where you require a second videographer we can arrange a second camera person.

Do you cover Destination Weddings?

Yes, I love destinations weddings. I’m happy to film an Irish wedding Video in Donegal or anywhere Nationwide all over Ireland, anywhere in Europe, or at any world destination wedding venue that you have chosen! Please get in touch to check your date. I will be happy to customise a quote for you. I would require travel & accommodation to be added to this quote. But I’m happy for you to organise this if you wish and provide you with a quote that covers everything.

Do you need a meal at the reception?

A hot dinner is always appreciated! But no need to add me to the table plan I’m more than happy to have bar food at the reception if it suits.

Have you worked in our wedding reception venue before; with our photographer; in our church…?

You want everyone to gel on the day. If the photographer and videographer have worked well together before then everything will be smoother. Also if they are all familiar with your venues (lighting, sound, locations etc) it will be a big advantage. It won’t make or break the day but it is a big advantage to all on your big day when everyone can work together well. I am regularly in many of the Donegal Wedding hotels such as the Villa Rose, Solis Lough Eske Castle, JacksonsAn Grianan, Radisson Blu SligoBlue Haven, Lusty Beg FermanaghHarvey’s Point Country Hotel, Silver Tassie, An Chuirt and the Mill Park and am very familiar with them.

How do we secure our date?

Firstly we need to check the date so please get in touch via our contact page. Please let me know as much information as possible as I only take on a limited number of weddings and hopefully we are able to help.
